Installation via Webserver

To install the ECTOR suite directly on a web server, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Updated Prestashop Installation: Ensure you have the latest version of Prestashop installed.
  • Configured Webserver: The web server must be configured according to the official Prestashop requirements.
  • Superadmin Access to Back Office: You need superadmin privileges to perform the installation.
  • Valid ECTOR License Key: Request a valid license key for your domain here.
  • ECTOR Installer Module: Download the ECTOR Installer module here.
Please don't enable Under Maintenance mode during the installation process

As the Ector Installer make ajax requests to the server, it is recommended to disable the maintenance mode during the installation process to prevent blocking the requests.

Follow these steps to install ECTOR.

Module Installation​

  1. Access the Back Office: Log in to the Prestashop back office where you intend to install ECTOR.

  2. Upload the Module: Go to the modules section and upload the downloaded ECTOR Installer module.

Start the Wizard​

  1. Configure the Module: Access the configuration page of the ECTOR Installer module.

  2. Enter Credentials: Enter the credentials provided when you requested the license to log in. The system will automatically verify the license validity for the domain in use and start the installation process.

Complete the Installation​

  1. Run the Wizard: Follow the instructions of the installation wizard. Ensure that all steps are successfully completed.

  2. Check Logs if Problems Occur: If you encounter any issues, check the logs to identify the cause. Common errors include permission and write issues in folders. If necessary, contact us for support here.

Final Steps​

  1. Verify the Installation: Once the wizard is complete, navigate to the front office to verify that the base theme is correctly installed.

  2. Start Customizing: You can immediately start modifying the theme and adding content to customize your e-commerce site.
